Below is a summary of how PHAD performs a mobile service call, as well as detailed labor charges.
Our goal is to make the entire process streamlined and efficient: from service request to completion of the diagnosis.
PHAD operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

PHAD operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
Logistics:
- Fill out the Construction Equipment Diagnostic Request Form to schedule a service call.
- PHAD will arrange an appointment time, travel to the vehicle location and perform the diagnosis on-site.
- Some vehicle problems will require more than one hour of diagnostic time. After the initial hour I will explain the progress and how much additional time could be required. The customer can approve further diagnostics or decline further work by PHAD.
- At the end of the diagnosis PHAD will issue a recommendation for repair.
- The customer may request that PHAD also perform the repair on-site.
- Upon completion of diagnostics and repairs, PHAD will issue one invoice per vehicle. Payment is collected at time of service.
All Diagnostics and Repairs are covered by the PHAD 100% Guarantee.
Rates:
Construction Diagnostics Service Call: up to 1 hour diagnostics (single vehicle, one issue): $300
Additional Labor for Diagnostics & Repairs: $200/hr
*Additional diagnostics time may be required for time-consuming or intermittent issues,
i.e. CAN network troubleshooting, parasitic draw testing, wire harness tracing, etc.
*Minimum additional labor time is 0.5 hours for any repairs performed by PHAD after the initial diagnosis.
Travel Fee (round trip): if vehicle location is outside of State College, PA area: $120 / hour
*Example: if vehicle is 30 minutes from State College, a Diagnostics Service call would be $300 + $120 = $420.
Additional Labor for Diagnostics & Repairs: $200/hr

Discounts:
PHAD offers discounts for multiple diagnostic jobs performed during a single service call:
Same vehicle, different problem: If the same vehicle has additional problems that need to be addressed during the service call, each separate issue will be billed as a 1-hour minimum labor charge ($250) per issue ($50 savings vs. separate service call).
Different vehicle: If the site has other vehicles that need a diagnosis during a single service call, each new vehicle will be billed $250 for the 1st hour ($50 savings vs. separate service call).
Same vehicle, different problem: If the same vehicle has additional problems that need to be addressed during the service call, each separate issue will be billed as a 1-hour minimum labor charge ($250) per issue ($50 savings vs. separate service call).
